| ~Is Your Dog Enjoying Class? If you see that your dog is stressed it is your responsibility to your dog to remove them from the situation or help them feel more comfortable. Sometimes the dog is stressed because they are in a new environment, sometimes they are really scared about what is going on around them or by the lesson being taught. A stressed dog is not a happy dog. Identifying the things that stress your dog allows you to evaluate why the dog is stressed and what you can do about it. If your dog is concerned about new surroundings then you can desensitize them. If your dog is scared by the lesson, trainer or methods used then you need to evaluate why your dog is in that situation and if you are comfortable continuing in those circumstances. |
