We are SO excited to *finally* be able to offer our Introduction to Agility class! This class has been a long time in the making and after many requests from students, it is now here! Agility is an incredibly fun activity to do with your dog. It teaches your dog how navigate odd surfaces, how to think and how to feel confident in strange situations. It also teaches you how to communicate to your dog at a distance, control their speed, direction and again, their confidence! We will cover the basic concepts of handling your dog, introducing obstacles such as the A-Frame, Teeter Totter, Pause Table, Jumps, Weave Poles, Tunnel and Chute. We will also cover applying these skills in the real world, such as how to use these skills if you were out hiking. For the maximum benefit to your dog, we advise that you have completed at least the Advanced Puppy Class. Your dog also needs to be at least six months of age to participate and jump work will not be allowed until your dog is finished growing! Photos coming soon! They will be good! :) |
